A Work in Progress (Rough Draft)

An anchor thrown in the ocean
My only purpose, more than emotion
The depth of my soul is out of hand
They misunderstand

I'm a work in progress
An infant in this falling world
A victorious bride in eternity
My vision twisted and swirled

Slowly I tangle my tounge
I trip over my broken heart
Everything I never could see
Laid out in front of me

I'm a work in progress
An infant in this falling world
A victorious bride in eternity
My vision twisted and swirled

Together they blossom
Deeper still the harmony sounds
Threaded infinitely together so it seems
The King receiving crowns

I'm a masterpiece
My heart whole and sincere
A victorious bride in eternity
My vision perfect and clear

Where You Are

All I need is to be where You are
Everything I need is right where You are
Everything I see is brightly lighted with Your glory
my heart rejoices when I'm in Your presence

Give me all I need to get through the day
Everything I need, my heart is Yours to stay
Help me to grow from a seed to a blossoming flower
Help me to conquer my fears, of whom you'll devour

All I need is to be where You are
Everything I need is right where You are
Everything I see is brightly lighted with Your glory
my heart rejoices when I'm in Your presence

Anything and everything
Everything and anything
All of my heart and all of creation cry out for You
I'll start
bringing others to Your feet
I'll start
renewing my cringing heart
I'll start
loving you with all that I am

Your love is all I need

Grampie

Many of you may know that my Grampie passed away this January. He was a good man and I wanted to share with you guys something he wrote to his dying sister.

I know of your disbelief about a future beyond this existence, but I do know for certainty in my own mind that it is for real, big time. When you look at the calendar to check the date, the date itself is a constant reminder of a Man whose presence on this earth over 2.000 years ago split all of time as we know it into two periods, the time before His coming and the time after His coming. A.D. is the Latin term for "In the year of our Lord," and the Lord referred to is Jesus Christ. He said unequivocally that He is King, and that His kingdom is not of this world, and that anyone who accepted Him would never see death but rather spend an eternity of happieness, joy and bliss in His Father's kingdom.

In Aramaic, the language of Christ spoke and which was used for the first 3 or 4 centuries in the Christian Church, the Aramaic word for "death" was "moot," which translated means, "not here, in another place." The death of the body in this life is simply leaving this body we have been living in behind and going through the fates of death to "another place." Our spirit is who we really are, and it is that which continues on to the "Promised Land" for those who love God and find their way through the merits of His son, Jesus Christ.

Faith is an outright gift of God to all who will accept it. We can do nothing to earn it; it is ours for the asking. Once we accept it and repent, all or our transgressions are forgiven and forgotten by a merciful and loving God who does not want to see even one of His creatures lost for all Eternity. Jesus took all the sins of all mankind, past, present and future upon Himself as He allowed Himself to be cruelly crucified on the cross at Calvary. Yet, even in His agony, with His dying breath He asked His Father to forgive those who crucified Him saying that they did not know what they were doing. He really died for the sins of all, and that includes both you and me. He paid the price for our salvation and all we have to do is claim it. He said that no one who believed in Him would ever perish, and if you can't trust the words of Jesus Christ you can't trust anyone in the universe, period.

In closing, I am going to pray to our heavenly Father to send you an angel to be by your side constantly to take you by the hand so you don't get lost on your journey to the next place. This angel will be there to comfort you and counsel you as things continue to occur in your final days here. I asked God to send an angel to my brother-in-law, Russell in his final days and he told Annie when she came to visit him, shortly before he died that just before she got there, he reached out from his bef to an outstretched hand which held his hand for a short time, but when he popped his eyes open there was no one viible in the room. When I saw Russell the next day, I said to him, "Has the angel showed up yet or told ou his name?" He looked up at me with a very peaceful expression on his face. This was only a day or two before he "went to another place." Annie can verify Russell's feeling a hand take his shortly before she got there. I hope I have helped you rethink your situation from another perspective, Shirl, and again, Barbara and I and our entire family wish the very best for you.

This just shows you the type of man he was.
Congrats for getting to the end.

I love you Grampie. I'll be seeing you.

Cecelia "Loved" Melody

I feel like writing a blog right now.

25 days until my birthday! I can't believe it. I feel like I just turned 15. Now its two years later and I'm two years older. I don't know what I would say if I spoke to my 15 year old self. I mean, wouldn't that be strange? Would you tell yourself to change anything? Are you really okay with everything thats happened to you for the past two years of your life?

Anyways.
A certain show premieres tonight. I'm super excited. If you want to know the extent of my excitment you should click "Caspian" on my blog links :).

I'm eating Honey Nut Cheerios and they're delicious. PS If you eat with a small spoon it lasts longer

I'm reading Luke right now and its pretty fascinating to put all the stories together. I love it.

Isn't it crazy how time flies? I feel like I was 13 just yesterday.

Besides that, I had a tye dye adventure with my friend Ian yesterday.
Check it out!

Legacy

Just more insights on what I'm working on. The character who says this is a wordy fellow who attempts to confuse you with his speech. He is usually not very successful, but most of the time he has a pretty good moral behind his monologues.

An adventure may be found in the strictest of places. You see, if one is looking in adventurous places for adventures how will all the really adventurous adventures be found? Indeed those who find themselves observing the corners of an office or the middle of an orange grove will embed themselves into the adventurous adventures waiting. Do not be overcome by the ambition to find an adventure. The most splendid adventures occur to the unexpected peoples who make an art of simple acts of kindness. Therefore be adventurous in your unadventurous activities and a truly wonderful adventure will await you.

Other than that... I've been feeling really well these past couple of days. I'm enjoying life and making the most out of what God has placed in it. I had a really productive day. I'm really stoked for these next couple of months. :D I have a lot going on.

Random 10 things you should know about me:
1) If you say goodbye to me at church while I'm playing 9-square you probably won't get an answer. I am not ignoring you, I just have my head in the game... (getcha getcha head in the... ahh nevermind)
2) I like living in my own little world. I excape into my stories and write about things I think should happen in real life. Mostly adventurous fantasy stuff. Wouldn't it be rad if those kind of adventures really happened?
3) I love to sing. I know I'm not the best singer, but I really enjoy doing it. If I had the appropriate talent I would sing full time anywhere anyhow. :)
4) I LOVE the Disney Channel. Its clean entertainment and I love it. Don't judge me.
5) I like reading my friends blogs because it gives me insight on what goes on in their pretty little heads
6) I have a lot of siblings. In short: 5 sisters, 1 brother, 4 step and 2 maybes
7) I love living for God. I feel my best when I'm in his will. He is the way the truth and the life <3
8) I really enjoy getting to pick peoples brains. I love getting to know people for who they truly are. I love hearing what they really have to say. I'd love for you to talk with me about anything.
9) I tend to nickname people without them knowing it. I call people that in my head, but usually not out loud. haha
10) I'm a chocolate junkie. Period.

A Sweet Dream

So lately I've felt overcome with doubts about God and who He is and if He is really with me. I've felt drowned with doubts and asking myself, "am I really good enough for God to live in me?"

Then I had a dream.

I'm sitting. All I can see are my hands laying face up on my knees. Suddenly a feeling overcomes me. A feeling that cannot be described easily. It felt like all the power of God was thrust into me. It felt like warmth and love. It felt like all the peace in the world flowed into me. All around me a yellowish light glowed, especially around my hands. I felt pressure on my hands and God told me

"I am with you"

I cannot describe what this dream means to me. Just know I feel much better.
God is with me, and what could be better than that?

Legacy

"Time and time again I see her fail to realize that she can make the difference."

"Funny you say that. My mother once told me about a dead toad that acted the same way you just did."

"There's no other way to keep the peace. I have to climb the tallest mountain to get the smallest prize. I have to save them. It's my duty and purpose. Let me go."

"Why not be wrong? Why not take the fall if it spares him ultimate death?"

"Well, I don't believe you shouldn't take fizzies in your drinkies. After all its not purply slurply Tuesday! Box it out and ship it inward! Don't not make no sense if it ain't drafted from autopilot! Doon darly doesnit?"

Some quotes from my book series. I think I may have decided on a title for the series.

I need to find You.

My typical camp experience usually includes becoming really on fire for God and a couple weeks later its fizzles out. I have led my determination to be committed to all things Jesus. In this I am focused on not dwelling on what happened just at Winter Camp, but what is happening in my relationship now. Instead of relying only on the fantastic experiences you've had with the Lord, rely on the relationship you have with Him now. Keep feeding the spirit and deprive your flesh of its desires. Really dig deep into the word and take it seriously. Don't overlook the tough stuff because its too difficult. Watch what God will do in your life if you commit it completely to him.

God has perfect plans and perfect timing. Theres a reason you're reading this now.
Maybe you've been slacking in your relationship with Him.
Maybe you don't have a relationship with Him.
Maybe you're completely on fire for Him and need reassurances that others are as well.

Its okay to stand up for whats right, even if you're standing alone.
Really devote yourself to Jesus and what he can do for you.
Hes the best friend anyone could ever ask for.
How can you fail if Jesus is on your side?
How does it feel to have the creator of the universe living inside of you? Caring for you? Watching over you and begging you to run into His arms.

I've been placed in a school I didn't want to be at, but God has perfect and exact timing. He knows what Hes doing. Hes the expert in all things. God has placed me at Silverado for a reason and I plan to do all I can to fulfill his will for me there. Please be praying to give me courage to take advantage of the opportunities that have been presented to me. I'm not going to lie and say I'm not scared. I am. I get really uncomfortable when I stand up for what I believe in, its something I need to work at. Pray that the fear is ripped from me and God fills me with His confidencce and that my words reflect his beauty.

Now for some awesome possum pictures, YO! :D
